Magnera
Fiberweb, part of the MAGNERA Group, specializes in the production of nonwoven materials primarily for hygiene applications, including baby diapers, feminine care, and adult incontinence products, as well as personal care and wipes.
Founded in 1974, the Terno d'Isola facility is equipped with two carding lines and utilizes both thermal bonding and through-air bonding (TAB) technologies.
Through-air bonding is a thermal bonding process widely used in carded nonwovens, where heated air passes through the web to bond low-melt fibers with minimal compression. This technology provides enhanced loft, softness, and resilience, making it particularly suitable for hygiene and personal care applications.
The Terno site operates two production lines, one spooling line, one USB line, and an R&D/Application Laboratory dedicated to product development and technical support.
The facility is certified according to ISO 9001:2015, OEKO-TEX®, and STeP by OEKO-TEX® Level 1, reflecting its commitment to quality, sustainability, and responsible manufacturing practices.
The MAGNERA Group operates 44 manufacturing facilities worldwide, of which 22 are located in the EMEIA region. The Terno d'Isola plant is the Group's only manufacturing site in Italy, playing a strategic role in serving both regional and global markets.
